How should I choose where to have a shoot or elopement?

Choosing where to be married or document your love story is a huge choice!!

There are several things to consider when making the decision. These include:

○ Is the location meaningful or just pretty?
While having pictures taken in a beautiful location is a good idea, getting pictures in a meaningful location is a better idea. Pictures can (and should) be more than stunning images. Whether it’s a place you guys have always wanted to visit or somewhere that holds special meaning-like where you first met, got engaged, or shared a favorite trip-it adds depth to your photos. When the location is tied to your story, the emotions and feeling come through naturally. You’re not just getting stunning pictures; you’re creating a memory in a space that already matters to you.

○ Will if be peaceful and private, or busy and crowded?
When choosing a location, you need to think about what the location will be like when you’re there. Some locations are incredible-but they’re also popular for a reason. That can mean crowds, background noise, and. less intimacy.
That doesn’t mean you have to skip the epic spots-there are often ways around the crowds, like planning for sunrise, choosing a weekday, or going in the off season.

○ Would you rather hike to a hidden spot or keep it simple and accessible?
There’s something magical about trekking to a tucked-away spot-no crowds, wild views, and a sense of adventure. But it’s totally okay if that’s not your thing! Some of the most beautiful moments can happen just a short walk from the car. Think about how far you want to travel or hike, what you’ll be wearing, and if anyone else will be joining. It’s all about choosing what makes the experience feel right for you.
